The United States FDA and USDA's Code of Federal Regulations 21 CFR 589.2000 has had since August 4, 1997 rules and regulations for preventing and controlling Mad Cow Disease in the United States.
This regulation provides specific guidelines for what the cows cannot be fed.
Severe penalties are provided for offenders. The restricted feeds are also specifically controlled in processing so that should there be an offender the feed would still be safe.
The USDA is doing an exceedingly good job in regulating and making sure that safety and purity is upheld in animal agriculture.
Immuno-Dynamics, Inc is also very much aware of the severity of this disease.
Immuno-Dynamics is placing on file affidavits from each owner/operator of contributing herds, stating that their animals have not and are not being fed restricted proteins as set out in CFR 589.2000 Each container of colostrum harvested from these dairies has also been recorded as having come from cows not fed illegal feeds.
The American consumer should feel proud and have great satisfaction in knowing that the American producer - be it meat, dairy, poultry, fruits or vegetables - are producing the safest and most wholesome foods of any place on the planet.
